Beginning in February 2010, CTL Logistics has started transporting FIAT vehicles manufactured in the Tychy plant, Poland. On average three trains operate between Tychy and Oberhausen in Germany. Transport is contracted by Western European automotive importers.

CTL Logistics operates the service across the entire route, between the terminal at origin in Poland and the destination terminal in Germany. Each draft of trains is lead by two locomotives, diesel and electric, which enables the trains to be loaded directly in the manufacturing plants.

"Until recently those services were offered by DB Schenker and PKP Cargo. However, given the shortened freight time, CTL transport coordination capabilities on both sides of the border and reduced overall operating costs, the client decided to retain CTL for further commissions," said Artur Pielech, CTL Logistics Vice-President and Sales and Marketing Director. "Customs procedures at the German border do not take now more than two hours and we keep the full control over the transport," he added.
