INTERNET PRIVACY POLICY
Introductory comment
The Internet is a fantastic medium. A few clicks of the mouse and you are able to follow and analyse current events, purchase products and services, and communicate with the entire world - even with people you have never met!
1.TransportPlaza allows you to discover this magnificent medium while respecting your privacy. The protection of your privacy has our absolute priority. However, please remember that the security of information transmitted over the Internet cannot be assured and may be to some extent accessible to others.
Free Access to the TransportPlaza website
You are free to visit our site and to inform yourself of the latest news about our new services without providing your personal information.
However, providing certain information (your personal identification and the selection of your profile) is sometimes required in order to take advantage of certain benefits (such as subscriptions to newsletters, tips/instructions, order information) or to participate in certain activities (such as contests or other offers) and in order to communicate to Members. You will find an additional explanation concerning which information is required and which is optional at the place where this information is located and collected.
Apart from particular rules relating to protected data (e.g. business secrets) provided for in the Terms of Use, please make sure not to disclose sensitive information, such as information of racial nature, origin, political or religious beliefs and/or medical data.
Confidentially Processing Personal Information If you choose to communicate your personal information, we will process this information confidentially in accordance with the present stipulations and in accordance with Belgian law.
No personal information that concerns you such as address, e-mail, telephone and fax number, geographic data or identification data will be processed without your approval of this processing.
By ‘process’ we understand any type of automated processing. It includes any type of processing that we do with the personal information of a natural person such as collecting, storing, changing, removing, consulting, communicating, using, etc.
‘Confidential’ processing implies that we process your personal information ‘confidentially’ in accordance with Belgian law in particular the Belgian Act of 8 December concerning the protection of privacy (Belgian Official Journal, 18 March 1993), as amended from time to time.
Purpose of the use of personal information
If you submit your personal information to us, it is stored in our files and is used:
• for the management of the TransportPlaza database, the contractual and pre-contractual relationships, the monitoring of the site and the quality of the services offered.
• to inform you of new features, services and products offered by TransportPlaza .
• to provide information or to introduce promotional campaigns on products and services of TransportPlaza . • for direct marketing campaigns and for commercial prospecting. • for preventing fraud and malpractice. 1. Right to obtain information
The entity responsible for the use of your personal information is ‘Teleroute NV, Avenue Louise 326, 1050 Brussels', where all questions can be addressed and where the effectiveness of your rights are ensured. For information of a more general nature you can also contact the Commission for the Protection of Personal Privacy at the Ministry of Justice, Waterloolaan 115, 1000 Brussels (02/542 72 30) (www.privacy.fgov.be).
2. Right to request and correct your information
Members can receive a written communication of their personal information from ‘Teleroute NV, Avenue Louise 326, 1050 Brussels' free of charge, subject to a written, dated and signed request and to adequate identification. Where applicable, correction of the data can also be requested if incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant. Your data will be communicated to you within one month after receipt of your request.
In the event of modification of the personal data of the Member, the changes have to be communicated to TransportPlaza within one month after the change. The Member also has the right to revoke the right for the processing of his personal information and to remove the information provided to TransportPlaza by sending and e-mail to following address: info@transportplaza.eu Upon receipt of this request TransportPlaza will stop processing personal data of a Member and remove the collected information within a reasonable delay, but not later than one month after receipt of the request.
3. Password and access code
The Registered Member agrees to respect the secret and confidential character of his or her password and access code. The Registered Member is fully responsible for each use of these identification elements. In the event of loss, theft or fraudulent use of one of these elements, the Registered Member is obliged to inform TransportPlaza as soon as possible by using the form available here. This notification has to be confirmed by registered letter.
Use of Information, Data Protection and Internet Privacy
In cases where users voluntarily and publicly disclose personal information, which may contain Registration Data, or otherwise post personal information in conjunction with content subject to an open source license such personal information necessarily will be disclosed subject to the terms of the applicable license.
Subject to the foregoing, TransportPlaza may conduct surveys of other studies of its Users base and usage for marketing and planning purposes. With respect to information collected from such surveys or studies, and in the event that responses are to be publicly disclosed, users will be notified at the time they take the survey and TransportPlaza will disclose only aggregate information regarding its users and not personal information identifying any specific individual. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in cases where surveys allow Users to submit written comments, and where TransportPlaza advises users of the possibility of such disclosure at the time they take the survey,
TransportPlaza reserves the right to disclose text information provided by any user through such a survey, provided that no personal information identifying that User is disclosed.
Non-Personally Identifiable Information
Use of IP Addresses
An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to your Internet service provider or through your organisation's local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Web servers automatically identify your computer by the IP address assigned to it during your session online.
TransportPlaza may collect IP addresses for the purposes of systems administration and to audit and monitor the use of its website. We do not ordinarily link a user's IP address to personally identifiable information of that user, which means each user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us. However, we may use IP addresses to identify users of our site when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with the site's terms of use, or to protect our service, site or other users.
Cookies
In order to improve our service offer, TransportPlaza may sometimes place a "cookie" in your computer's browser. Except as outlined below, only authorised employees have access to the information you provide us. Further, we impose strict rules on TransportPlaza employees who have access either to the databases that store user information or to the servers that host our services. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we make every effort to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
Disclosure of Personally Identifiable Information with Third Parties The information collected, directly or indirectly, on the TransportPlaza website is constantly being processed by Teleroute NV and can, with your authorisation, be communicated to the affiliates and subsidiaries of Teleroute NV, even if this information would be sent to a legal entity where a less secure and less important privacy legislation apply.
TransportPlaza will not dispose of personally identifiable information to any third party for any purpose. However, it may disclose your personally identifiable information in the following circumstances:
(i) sometimes carefully selected third parties are used to provide TransportPlaza with support services in connection with its website and such parties may, from time to time, have access to your information to enable them to provide those services to TransportPlaza . Please rest assured that all companies providing such support services are required by TransportPlaza to meet the same high standards of data protection; (ii) when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to you, or otherwise injuring or interfering with TransportPlaza’s rights, property or operations, other Users of this site, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities; or (iii) when we believe the law requires it, or in response to any demand by law enforcement authorities in connection with a criminal investigation, or civil or administrative authorities in connection with a pending civil case or administrative investigation.

TransportPlaza web sites provide links to other TransportPlaza and third party web sites as a service to our Users. The privacy policy described here does not apply to those sites. Please ensure you check the legal and privacy policy sections of any site you link to.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
Any changes to this privacy policy will be communicated promptly and in an appropriate manner on TransportPlaza . Members will also be notified as follows: “TransportPlaza has modified its Privacy Policy (verify New Privacy Policy) and it invites you to verify these rules. Your subsequent use of this website will be understood as your implied acceptance of this new Privacy Policy.”
A User is bound by any minor changes to the privacy policy when she or he uses the site after those changes have been posted. If, however, the personally identifiable information is to be used in a manner materially different from that agreed upon previously, appropriate notice will be posted on TransportPlaza for 30 days. Your subsequent use of this website will be understood as your implied acceptance of this new privacy policy.
